Creatures and Cryptids

Across forests, mountains, lakes, and remote regions of the world, people have reported encounters with strange creatures that do not appear in any official record of known animals. These beings are often called cryptids—mysterious animals whose existence has been suggested through eyewitness accounts, local legends, photographs, or unexplained traces, but has never been fully proven by science.

 For many people, these creatures belong to folklore and imagination. For others, they represent the possibility that unknown species may still be hiding in places humans rarely explore.
