Friends or a Ghost?

When I had a party for all the basketball players at our school at my house, of course, I was gonna hang out with my team (the girls) this also included the 7th grade basketball teams. When everyone got there we watched a couple scary movies about four of them (Jeepers Creepers, Quarantine, Paranormal Activity, The Strangers) this ended at about midnight. Now I live in this super creepy really old farmhouse and I remembered I had to go upstairs to close the attic windows which is really scary because when I was outside no-one was home but me. I heard and saw the attic doors SLAM open. When I asked some of the girls to go with me they said ‘no’ but five of the boys would, so they all came with me upstairs. Now when we walked past the second floor window I swear I saw my grandma (who died in that house) and my boyfriend Nick laughed and said “Aw, I think she saw The Exorcist.” Now I had those thoughts in my head. I made one of them open that attic door, so Jason did, hes like 6’2 for a 8th grader! So he hit his head really hard, which made me feel a bit better. So we went up and I made my way slowly up to one of the six windows. When I reached out to close it, I saw something in one of the fields (I live on a farm) it looked kinda like a demented person, ya know like bloody and stuff, so I looked behind me and the boys were gone. Now when I turned back the thing in the field was a couple inches from my face. I let out a huge scream. I ran down the stairs to the second floor. I felt alot of hands grab me. Of course it was the boys. “What happened what happened?!” “I don’t wanna talk about it,” I said, “Seriously, I I I I think I saw a ghost.” “Yeah right,” they said. So I went back down stairs with them and kinda had a panic attack. So Joey decided to go up and see for himself. We heard him go up. We heard BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM! “Ahh haha,” he screamed like a girl. He ran down the stairs with like a little bit of blood on his head. “Gh, gh, ghgh, ghost!” He stuttered. “Oh my god, Joey!” I screamed. He held his head down and started to cry but really he was laughing. “I can’t believe you fell for that! It’s ketchup! Besides there was nothing up there. I even closed the windows that was the boom you heard.” I slapped him so hard there was a red mark and we just sat there talking for a couple minutes and that was it.

Bedroom Clown

One time when I was 13, I had this nightmare where I was in my bed, paralyzed unable to move completely and since my room has no windows, it was dark. Then all of a sudden my room got darker and darker (it looked realistic), and right besides my bed there was “IT” the scary clown based on that movie. I wanted to scream, and worse of all his face was getting closer and closer to mine and had an evil laugh. Luckily before he did anything to me, I woke up.

I am still sensitive to haunted houses

Since I was a kid, I sometimes felt a little shiver in exactly one arm or leg. All the times it happened, I would have a nightmare of that person’s death or know where it is buried if it’s in the house.

Years passed, I was 13, almost about to stop believing in ghosts. One day I went to a house of a friend of mine, I could feel something, I was starting to get pale and cold, my friend told me that I was starting to get colder than normal. I fainted, while I was there, lying on the ground, I could hear a voice telling me to open a hole under the place I was. I got really scared when my friend and his parents discovered human bones scattered under the ground.

Bloody Mary Experience

You might believe this, and you might not.

I was sleeping over at my best friend Jackie’s house, and her cousin who is older than us was with us (though he wasn’t sleeping over.) We began talking about the paranormal, which eventually led to Bloody Mary.

From my memory, I was dared to do Bloody Mary. Now, hearing what she can do, I refused. Jackie’s cousin, (Billy) still tried to bribe me into doing it, but Billy was a tricky person and I knew he must be planning something. So instead of me doing it, Jackie did. We were even standing outside of the door. We heard her chant “Bloody Mary” and heard her turn the sink on.

When she came out, she said nothing happened. But after Billy left, she told me firmly that in the mirror was a girl with a blood-soaked white dress just standing there. It did not attempt to grab Jackie. This was about last year or so.

Now, just yesterday I got a call from Jackie. She told me that she was really creeped out. She took a bath and was humming to herself in her parents’ room, and when she finished drying off and dressing, she was doing stretches. When she put her head in between her legs, she saw a black figure about six feet tall. When she looked back, it disappeared.

Bloody Mary will probably stalk you ever since you tried this “mirror legend”. Be aware of this before you try it. Even if she doesn’t appear when you try it.

Something across my bedroom

Well, let me start by saying that as a child, I had an extremely over active imagination. I used to have to lie in bed as a child and ignore the little noises I thought I had heard or roll over, burying my face in the wall if I were to feel a strange warm stale draft, as if someone’s breath, on my tightly clenched eyelids. The worst was the night’s with a full moon. See, in the pitch black, I could make myself ignore things, but when the moonlight shone through my window, things got a little worse. With just enough light to fuel my fear, I would see something standing at the edge of my room, then get up the nerve to sprint to the light switch just to prove to myself that it was nothing. Most times it was my rain coat hanging from the floor lamp, or a thin strip of brighter moonlight casting a figure on my bookshelves.

One night I’ll always remember, I was sitting in bed sweating. It was summer but I refused to take off the covers, feeling as if they would protect me. I laid there with my eyes closed trying to ignore the clock out in the dining room that was louder than I’d ever noticed before, “TIC-TIC-SCRAPE, TIC-TIC-SCRAPE”. As I laid there, I suddenly had an image to go along with the sound. I pictured some sort of injured animal with long claws limping around my bedroom, “TIC-TIC-SCRAPE.” I very quickly opened my eyes and glanced down beside the bed. Nothing. But as I quickly surveyed the room I saw something much more startling. A figure standing about halfway between the foot of my bed and the bedroom door (and the lights witch). It looked very pail and very thin. It stood staring at me through one shattered pink eye. It looked like it had it’s arm raised trying to shade it’s eyes against the light from the window.

I sat in bed, freaking at first, wanting to scream but remembering the constant warnings from my parents about letting my imagination run away with me. I didn’t dare trying to make it to the light switch with this thing standing between me and it. I would just have to stare at it and figure out what it really was. I spent hours in this room every day, surely I could think of what would cause this optical illusion in the dark. As I sat watching and trembling slightly, I guess the moon must have moved from behind some clouds outside, because brighter light started to creep across the bedroom. I thought to myself, “great, now I’ll be able to see what it really is.” As the light stretched across the apparition’s face I could see just a little more… I could see what looked like a smile. I started to whimper slightly and shove as much of my body up by my pillow as possible. I stilled tried to be a big boy and not be scared, but then whatever it was dropped down out of sight, beneath the bed’s footboard! There was nothing that could keep me from screaming then, but a massive asthma attack did limit me to just one. As my parents made it into the bedroom and had to rush me to the emergency room, and due to the asthma, never questioned why I was screaming. I convinced myself it was a nightmare and half buried myself down between the wall and my bed to sleep for the next month.

To this day, my room has to be pitch black and I can’t have any clocks that make noise.

The Banshee Field

This is a true story. No lie. There is a field across the road from my house. A few years ago, big, iron bars were put up around the field. The funny thing was, I never seen any builders or anyone putting them up…

One day, my friends and I were just sitting down on the grass when I heard a wailing noise. “Did you hear that?” I asked one of my friends. We began looking around. We kept on hearing it and we began to really freak out. I glanced over at the field with the bars around it. A dark hooded figure with no face was coming closer and closer to us. We all screamed and ran.

We are still unsure why they put up them bars. No one knows. Maybe it was to stop the banshee getting out or innocent people getting in…

To this day, the banshee is still haunting the field and trespassers. No lie.
